Customer Spotlight: Antique Heart Pine Flooring in Historic Georgia Home
Molly and Chris Riccardi contacted us to find Reclaimed Antique Heart Pine Flooring to match the original flooring in their Georgia home. They live in a historic home built in the early 1900s by one of the first female architects in Georgia, Leila Ross Wilburn. She believed that quality homes should not be reserved only for those who could afford an architect, and left a legacy of residential and commercial buildings that are still being enjoyed today, over 100 years later.
"When we decided to renovate, it was important to us to conserve the history and charm of our original American 4 square home. Our Architect Alan Clark and Contractor Neil Struby helped to bring our vision to reality. We loved the original heart pine floors that were throughout the entire home and knew we wanted to conserve them. However we were also doing an addition, and needed to try to match or find flooring that would complement the original flooring.
Our friend, designer Cathy Bunn, recommended we check out using reclaimed wood floors, and through some google sleuthing that's how we came to find Southend Reclaimed! We are so glad we did!"
