Project Spotlight: Mixed Colored Barnwood in Wilmington Music Barn
We recently had the opportunity to work with Gannon Building Group on another very cool project in Wilmington, NC. We previously collaborated with them on a custom home (if you missed that one, check it out here!) and we were excited to work with them again on this newly built barn that they decided to convert into a private music venue!
This project was extra meaningful for Southend Reclaimed owner Paul Atkinson, as it combined two of his passions: reclaimed wood and music...and to make it even more special, it is located in his hometown! Not only were we able to provide beautiful Mixed Colored Reclaimed Barnwood, but Paul was also invited to come and play live, opening for Grammy-nominated artist Ari Hest.
The music barn, nicknamed "The Barrow" will be used to host concerts and raise money for charity. The barnwood cladding the walls and ceilings was sourced from old barns and is a beautiful mix of weathered greys and browns, with some painted black and red mixed in, as well.
